Homeward Bound :(
Today we got up at 4 a.m. in order to get to Cairns airport in time for our 6am flight to Sydney. We are all tired and bummed that we have to leave this beautiful country. We had the time of our lives and got to meet an awesome group of new friends. We also got to learn about the history and culture of Australia and it's peoples. Our trip, which lasted almost three weeks, flew by in what felt like a couple of days. Time flies when you're having fun!
It's 9:30am now and we've arrived at Sydney Airport. Our flight to Dallas Departs at 12:30 pm. The group is grabbing breakfast at the airport and reminiscing about our incredible time abroad. I wish we could stay! We all do.
12pm: It's boarding time.. the plane is sold out so we won't have the same luxury of spreading out and having two seats to ourselves like on the flight here.
12:30pm: We takeoff for a bitter 17 hour flight to Dallas.
1:00pm (CT) We've landed in Dallas. This is where we say our final goodbyes. It's not fun, but we are all so glad that we got to share these memories with such awesome people.
